Intro to Horses
Building Connections, Confidence and Smiles - One Horse at a Time!
Our introduction to horses program offers individuals a unique opportunity to experience the world of horses through meaningful, hands on interactions in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Designed for community organizations, schools, adult day programs, group homes and other organizations serving individuals with disabilities, this ground-based program includes meeting horses, learning about their care, and discovering how horses communicate - all without riding.
Activities may include: Meeting and interacting with our gentle horses, learning basic horse care, grooming and handling, exploring horse behavior and communication, participating in fun, horse-related educational activities, building confidence through positive interactions with horses, as well as developing social connections and teamwork through group activities. Our goal is to create a positive and memorable experience while encouraging confidence, communication, social interaction, sensory exploration, and personal growth.
No Previous horse experience is necessary, and riding is not part of this program. Activities can support individuals with a wide range of physical, cognitive, developmental and emotional abilities.
