Sandy comes from a family of horse people, the love of horses is in her blood. She got her first pony for her 3rd birthday and enjoyed pleasure riding and taking lessons throughout her teen years. She had to give up her own ponies in adult life but she never lost her love of horses. She joined SRA in 2021 as a volunteer, leading in lessons and feeding early in the mornings and is now an Instructor.

Sandy has two grown sons in Pennsylvania and an adopted daughter, son and two grandsons in Kenya. When she is not at SRA, she enjoys horseback riding, pickleball, spending time in Florida and serving church ministries.
